Where do I even begin? This review might be a long one, so here's the quick version: Uroko is the best poke shop in the US. Hands down. I was introduced to poke ages ago--back when you couldn't even find it in LA. I first tried it in Hawaii and was so hooked I even considered opening my own poke shop before it became a trend. So, trust me when I say, this review is coming from both a seasoned consumer and a would-be poke entrepreneur. Let's dive into the details. Uroko offers three sizes: small (2 scoops), medium (3 scoops), and large (5 scoops). You can mix and match three different bases, which is just awesome. My go-to is half broccoli and half white rice. Their rice is perfect--served warm, not hot, not cold, just right. You get to choose six scoops of various toppings without any extra charge, unlike most other poke shops. And yes, avocado is included! Seriously, why do other places charge $2-3 extra for avocado? It's not saffron, folks. Avocados are plentiful and affordable! Their toppings are top-notch. Both mango and pineapple are available, adding a fantastic tropical twist to your poke. When it comes to sauces, they have a plethora of options. Then, you move on to the final section where you can pile on more toppings like sushi ginger, masago, furikake, and more--all at no extra cost. Go ahead, load up your bowl. They're super generous. Now, the most crucial part: the quality of the fish. I usually go for tuna, salmon, and albacore. The tuna and salmon are consistently excellent--no funky smells, always clean, and perfectly portioned into bite-sized pieces. I've had poke everywhere in the US, including the most popular spots in Hawaii. I've even made my own poke bowls. By far, Uroko is the best poke I've ever had. Every time I eat there, I leave full and satisfied. It's one of the rare places where I've never had a bad meal. I usually drive 80 miles round trip once a week from LA just for their poke. I recently moved to the East Coast and missed Uroko like crazy. The moment we returned to LA, after a long drive, our first stop was Uroko--three times in one day! If you're hunting for the best poke place, look no further. Uroko is it. Don't waste your time, money, or energy trying to find another spot that measures up, because you won't.

Came here at 1:30PM on a Friday for a delicious, fresh, and healthy lunch. Relatively crowded but everyone did mostly take outs so there's still lots of seatings available. Love the diverse options, service was friendly and quick. Free water available too.

I loved the portion size because I was stuffed before I even finished my bowl. I had a feeling two scoops would be enough but I got greedy because as a first-timer I wanted to try as many protein options as possible. I ended up choosing tuna, salmon, and yellowtail and I added as many toppings as I could. I was so happy to see that avocado was included free of charge. The tuna was a bit underwhelming but I kind of expected it based off the color. The salmon and the yellowtail, on the other hand, were of good quality so they were tender and delicious. There's plenty of seating indoors but it's easy to take it to-go too. I dined in so they served it to me in a metal bowl and if you can't finish it, there's takeout boxes next to the wall along with water. The service was great and the workers were friendly so it was overall a nice experience.

Hands down one of the BEST poke spots in OC. The amount of food you get is very worth it for the price you pay (which is very affordable). For a bowl with 2 scoops of protein, I paid $14. Also, if you check in on yelp, you get a free miso soup!! My typical order consists of: - Base: White rice - Sides: Crab meat, spicy crab meat, avocado, corn, and cucumber - Protein: 2 scoops of salmon - Sauces: Original and spicy mayo - Toppings: Garlic chips, furikake, tempura, and masago The poke is actually very tasty here. I know at some places, when the poke is cheap, the fish quality isn't the best. But this isn't the case at Uroko. The fish tastes fresh and the sides, sauces, and toppings add more flavor. The service here is very quick. You order up front and take it to a seat to eat or you could also take it to-go if that's more convenient for you. The restaurant has been very clean all the times that I've been here. I've been to many different poke places and overall, I think that you get the most bang for your buck at Uroko. I'd definitely recommend trying it if you're looking for somewhere quick and easy! I'll probably be back in a few weeks HAHA. 10/10!
